Alumni Support

Trails Carolina believes it’s important to invest equally in alumni support for its families. Support continues long after graduation thanks to a dedicated Alumni community. Extended Student Support and Parent Coaching

Our alumni community asked for parent coaching and student support as our students transition home. We have been hard at work creating a program to support parents and offer weekly student mentoring and parent coaching for Trails Carolina alumni.

This is a great option for any family who attended Trails Carolina.

This program will help families looking to revisit skills learned at Trails Carolina while getting continued support from one-on-one work with our family team.

Alumni Support Series

Quarterly Webinars

As part of our Alumni Support Series, we offer a Quarterly Webinar Series for alumni families. This series consists of one webinar per quarter, each focusing on a different topic pertaining to that season.

Quarterly Mindfulness Classes

In addition to the Webinar Series, we also offer a Quarterly Mindfulness Class Series for alumni families. This series consists of one virtual mindfulness class per quarter.

Student Mentorship Program

Student alumni mentors, having triumphed over emotional challenges and found success in the program, guide and uplift students currently enrolled at Trails Carolina, fostering community.

This initiative not only supports new incoming students but also empowers student alumni, enhancing confidence and skill retention. Committed to holistic healing, Trails Carolina offers extended family support services, reinforcing its dedication to transformation.

Bi-Weekly Alumni Calls

On the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month, our team hosts an 8pm Zoom call for alumni families to re-engage with the Trails community, share updates, and receive support from fellow alumni families. These alumni calls create and strengthen an alumni network that helps families continue to grow and progress after graduating from Trails. There is no limit on how long after graduation families can attend these Zoom calls.

Trails Family Reunions

Trails Family Reunions are similar to the Common Ground experience that we offer to families while their child is enrolled at Trails.

We invite alumni families back to the Trails campus for a multi-day (Thursday-Sunday) program full of scheduled activities, opportunities to practice communication skills, a family therapy session, and the chance to reconnect with the positive experiences that they had while at Trails for the first time.

This program is good for families who are excited to come back and who loved the common ground experience!

Trails saved my daughter’s life. Amanda is an amazing human and a brilliant therapist. I am so grateful to her, Science Steve, and the other wonderful people who could reach my daughter at a time when I could not.

Great life changing experience for our son. After becoming addicted to gaming during covid he was very depressed. At Trails he experienced the wilderness, Science Steve, learning survival skills and top notch therapy and support etc… I highly recommend! This gave our son and our family a renewed family bond full of love and excitement about his bright future.
