Mara Mueller, MSW, LCSW
Mara received her Masters in Social Work from Portland State University. She has been working with adolescents, young adults and their families in various contexts since 2004. She has worked in settings such as in and outpatient psychiatry, therapeutic boarding schools, emergency departments, residential treatment facilities and wilderness therapy. Mara has been a primary therapist at various wilderness therapy programs, a clinical director at a young adult wilderness program and now a family therapist at Trails. Of all the settings in which she has worked, she believes most deeply in wilderness therapy. She has seen, many times, the profound impact that the process of wilderness therapy has on the child and family. When not working, Mara enjoys mountain biking, surfing, traveling and spending time outdoors with her friends, family, husband and her pup, Mija.
