Kristin grew up on the plains of Longmont, CO overshadowed the peaks of the Rockies. Interested in psychology from a young age, she began studying this field in high school, developing her own experiments and learning about theories of mind. She went on to major in psychology in college, developing a honors thesis experiment and graduating magna cum laude. After college she set out to explore the world, hiking in Patagonia and cycling from Alaska to Mexico. She was drawn back into the field of mental health when she started volunteering at a private mental health organization. After being hired on as a vocational rehab assistant for a social enterprise in Boulder she realized that graduate school was in her future. She moved to Asheville, NC to attend school at Lenoir Rhyne University. She chose Trails Carolina for her internship placement and upon graduation was hired as a Trails therapist. She teaches mindfulness at Trails as well as supporting graduation and Common Ground. She also fills in when primary therapists take time off. Her passions include mountain biking , kitties, dinosaurs, tacos and anything outdoors.
