Wilderness Therapy is Effective: The Center for Research, Assessment, and Treatment Efficacy and the Arkansas Interdisciplinary Sciences Library conducted a study on the outcomes and effects of wilderness programs. The study summarizes how adolescents gained and maintained improved behavior after receiving wilderness therapy treatment. The study also revealed that participants showed significant improvements in anxiety, depression, substance abuse and dependency, and improved in academic achievement.
