    Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee with a background in visual art, education, and sexual violence prevention, Ashley joined the Trails team in 2011. She has worked in the wilderness therapeutic field since 2006 and believes in the power of wilderness to challenge, nurture, and hold a mirror up to young people and help them in finding reconnection with their families and selves.. She grew up playing in woods and building forts behind her house. Nowadays, she enjoys watching documentaries with her husband, drinking hot chocolate, running with her therapy dog and continuing to play in the woods.
