Weekly Family Touchpoints

Family Growth starts before you arrive at Trails Carolina. We work with you to understand your situation and your challenges. Upon arrival at the program, you will receive a Family Handbook that provides knowledge-based articles and an outline of Parent Support offerings throughout each week. This comprehensive guide speaks to all of the different elements of support you and your child will receive while at Trails Carolina. Every week we offer multiple opportunities for parents to participate in family coaching, family support calls, and weekly zoom sessions to help you heal and grow.

Weekly Calls From Your Primary Therapist

Your child’s therapist will keep you up-to-date on their latest progress and remaining challenges throughout their time at Trails, so you can support their continued growth. During these calls, the family coach provides information about parenting techniques and other skills that you can utilize with your child.

Bi-Weekly Calls With A Family Coach

For healing to occur and positive change to last, there need to be changes made at the family level. You’ll work with our family coach to set “big picture” goals, understand your child’s behavior, and build healthy strategies for communication.

Mindfulness Classes

Each week via Zoom, we host a meditation/yoga class and a mindfulness class for current families. Our meditation and yoga class provides an opportunity for parents to learn meditation and yoga techniques while setting grounding intentions each week. The weekly mindfulness class is a wonderful opportunity for parents to exercise self-care and learn some of the skills their children will be practicing throughout the program.

Parent Yoga Classes

Weekly Family Support Schedule

Monday

  • 8 AM EST – Yoga
  • 10 AM EST – Parent Mindfulness
  • 6 PM EST – Adolescent Support Call
  • 7 PM EST – Postworkshop Parent Support Call

Tuesday

  • Weekly Call with your child’s therapist

Wednesday

  • Work on homework and prepare letters for family and primary therapist calls.

Thursday

  • Bi-Weekly Call with your Family Therapist

Friday

  • 10 AM EST – Parent Mindfulness Call
